Ask me anything

Just a girl trying to live life and be healthy. I struggled with my weight for as long as I could remember and I tried everything- pills, HCG, fad diets, etc. Sure, I got results... but I wasn't healthy and as soon as I strayed, the weight came back. FINALLY June 23rd of 2012, I got my act together and decided to get serious. I started hitting the gym more, started eating cleaner, dumped fast food and soda, and never looked at those fad diets again. From June 23rd 2012 to March 2013, I went from an 18 pant size to a size 8. I went from wearing XL T-Shirts to Smalls and Mediums depending on the make. As of September 1, 2013, I now wear a size 6 in pants! It took time- but feeling healthy is and was a major award. It felt great slipping on smaller clothes in the dressing rooms, not getting tired after an activity, etc. and guess what- healthy food does taste great! I feel fitspo on Tumblr helps keep me on track. This is my corner on Tumblr for anything health / fitspo related that I like. I hope you enjoy the posts as well and find inspiration! We can do this!

When are people going to stop equating veganism with weakness?

I’m reblogging this again because I want to add that images like this are literally 100% the only reason I feel better about my body. Because when I’m having a shitty body image day, I look in the mirror and I remember that there are people who think bodies like mine are beautiful and lovely and sexy and I give myself permission to love myself even though my body is rarely reflected in mainstream media.
